My name is Amanda. My favorite class is English. My interests are swimming, acting, and spending time with friends. I want to be an elementary school teacher. I think that any media other than the news is very disrespectful to our government. SNL for instance always makes fun of Obama and political events. This makes me think negatively because it seems that people don't take politics seriously.

My name is Olivia. My favorite class is Choir. My interests are listening to music, hanging out with friends, and reading. I think the media has a big influence on our country. A lot of the media insults or makes fun of politics. Articles in magazines, TV shows, and some music are some examples. The media could sway people's opinion about the president and their political party.

My name is Ryan. My favorite class is math. My interests are Computers and Church. I am very involved with my church. I do just about anything with my church that i am able to do. I think that media is a large influence on our country. For example, the presedent durring the election was talked about in the most positive manar that the media could think of and then after he was elected all the media would talk about were the bad things about him. Yes the media does play a big role in peoples opinion, but they dont truely show every side of something.

My name is Brett. My favorite class is Marketing and I like to play soccer and hang out with friends. I think that other than the news the media is very rude and dis respectable. There are many instances this is true including tv shows like Family Guy and South Park. These instances put a negative image on me about our government even if the things aren't true.

My name is Rachel. My favorite class is chemistry & my interests are clothing, my friends & my new iPod Touch. In the near future, I would like to enroll at KU and major in pharmacy. I think the media gives us a lighter and more humorous side to politics because it's such an intense subject. I do believe that in few cases the media can push their entertainment farther than they should.

Hi my name is Abee. My favorite class was Health OCC AM. My favorite memory in school was my first day as a freshman 1st lunch. My interest are nursing, working, and hanging with my bff. I want to be a nursing home director when i graduate. I am a senior also. To me the media, press, all that good stuff doesn't influence my thoughts at all. Until i hear it from the person themself's i don't care about it.

Hello my name is Garrett, my favorite class is by far government, my interests include hockey, xbox, and furthering my education. I think that the media influences almost everything for the worst, yes our country is not in the best state but it surely is not in the worst by any means, N/A , i feel that the media only shows one side of the story and they show more violent negative information than anything else, as a citizen it is scary and misleading because it takes away the possibility of making a accurate decision.

My name is Stephanie and my favorite class is Marketing or French. My interests include playing tennis, traveling, and fashion. In regards to how the media influences me, our society is dependent upon the ways of communication and relaying information through the news on TV, Internet, newspaper, etc. Since we constantly rely on the social media to provide us with facts, rather than biased opinions, we have put our trust into the media and therefore are dependent upon it, although sometimes it may be sending the wrong message or completely disregarding vital information as a whole. In turn, it can persuade our thinking and opinions particularly in terms of the government and politics and consequently give us the wrong ideas about certain topics.

My name is Grace and my favorite class is French and English. I enjoy swimming, hiking, and playing water polo. I try not to let the media to have too big of an influence on my opinion of our country and President. Most places that report the news are too biased and one-sided to take seriousely. You never know who to believe these days. As for my role as a citizen, the media can have a positive impact on how i think. When I see something on T.V. about homeless people struggling to get by, it makes me think twice before I ignore that person ringing bells, dressed as Santa in front of Walmart.

Hi i know it says dada, but my name is Dariane. I'm 17 and play softball. I'm not sure on what my favorite class is. I think the media has a big affect on us. They tell us things on like the news and we emidietly believe them and pass it on to others. It's not the fact that what they tell us i think is false it's the fact of how much they aren't telling us. They tell us what sounds interesting or something we would like to know not always things we need to hear about. Over all I really think the media has a big impact on us. I just wish they would tell us everything about our country, but then they would agrue there isn't enough time for that. An you asked about the president once again we know what the news or poperotsy (idk how to spell it) tell us.
